Telecommunication Towers bombed by Saudi Air Force

Just four days after Yemen’s Ministry of Telecommunication launched the country’s new cellular 4G network, the Saudi Airforce deliberately targeted telecom towers in the governorates Saadah, Amran and Al-Jawf.

In a statement released to the public, the ministry condemns this egregious targeting of basic services and facilities, in their malicious effort to deprive tens of thousands of basic telecommunication services.

“Targeting communication networks reveals the ugliness of the aggression and its malicious criminal goals against our people”, the ministry said.

In their statement, the ministry holds the Saudi aggression, and its main backer the United States, legally and morally responsible for the targeting, as well as the consequences thereof.

The ministry also added that they remain dissatisfied with the silence by the United Nations and the international community on the continued and persistent crimes committed against the Yemeni people, as well as the deliberate destruction of civilian infrastructure.
